$Holman Bentley\'s typewriter$

$This late 19th century beer flagon bears the name of Joseph George, the publican of The Rose and Crown. This old coaching inn was destroyed in the 1921 fire and replaced first by the County Cinema and then Winch and Blatch\'s kitchenware department.$

$This Edward VIII postbox in Humphry Road is said to be one of only six in the country. It bears a crown that was never actually placed on Edwards\'s head. Since this photo was taken the box has been refurbished after many years of neglect which followed the closure of the post office/shop behind.$ $St Peters church on Market Hill had a spirelet or \'fleche\' on top of the tower. In 1968 the fleche was removed, having become unsafe. All that remains of it is this weathervane which sits, largely unnoticed, on a high window ledge in the Heritage Centre in Gaol Lane.$ $Sam Carter\'s top hat and wing collars$ $Sudbury Borough Council gave these spoons to local school children to mark the Queen\'s Coronation in 1953.
